North Central Chamber of Commerce
President’s Message
On behalf of the North Central Chamber of Commerce, its members and our Board of Directors….Welcome! As I enter into my second year as President, I look forward to the challenges and opportunities the year will bring for the Chamber communities and the businesses the Chamber serves. I am so proud of the Chamber’s accomplishments in 2010 and the important role we take in supporting and enhancing our local businesses. I am also very proud to announce our staff has grown; please join me in welcoming Shirley Mancini as our Events Coordinator. Just in the past eight weeks, Shirley has proven to be an asset to the Chamber and its membership. The Chamber has amazing value. Your Chamber membership not only entitles you to a lengthy list of direct benefits and services for your business, it links you to the communities we serve and opens the door to relationships you won’t find anywhere else. That’s really what the Chamber is about – building relationships. Our Chamber will continue to make a strong commitment to supporting our businesses and communities. By working together and joining hands to create a successful and purposeful business climate, we can move forward. From Ambassadors visits to networking events and small business education and resources, the Chamber has been the organization local businesses have turned to – in good times and in the tougher times such as the one we are in currently. We continue to promote our Member-to-Member discounts because “it’s good business to do business with Chamber members”. Our newest Chamber promotion is our Friday Frenzy, the Chamber’s “deal of the week”, if you haven’t taken advantage of it, you need to and it’s complimentary to all our members. Ladies, our “Lipstick Luncheons” are a must! The meetings are held quarterly and focus on topics tailored for women. If you haven’t been to a Chamber event recently, make an effort to do so this year. I guarantee it will be worth your time; I mean that wholeheartedly.
I am proud to say the Chamber is responsible for the successes of some of our annual events. Our Scholarship Program – helping to enhance today’s students into the business people of tomorrow, awarded to high school students each year at our Annual Dinner “Night of the Rising Star, and our Annual Apple Festival proving that it’s all about Businesses supporting Community supporting Businesses! We are always open to your input as members on how to better serve and promote the local business community. The Chamber strives in everything that we do to promote you – the small business owner. If you are a business owner and not a member of the Chamber, I would encourage you to come on board. There are numerous benefits and opportunities including networking, direct referrals, events, activities and so much more. I personally look forward to working with you to make the Chamber the best that it can be and in turn continuing to promote Businesses supporting Community supporting Businesses. I wish you much success in 2011. Sincerely, Deborah J. Ramos Deborah J. Ramos President |
