Brown & Hopkins Country Store (1799), located at 1179 Putnam Pike, Roue 44 in the quaint village of Chepachet, is the nation's oldest continuosly operating general store, dating from 1809. Antiques, country furnishings, gourmet food and penny candy are available. Lunch is served daily in the deli/café.
Open year round Thursday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Monday through Wednesday. |
