23rd Annual Apple Festival The North Central Chamber of Commerce and Citizens Bank are proud to announce our 23rd Annual Apple Festival! The Festival usually draws a crowd of 10,000 plus attendees for this "fun for the whole family" event! Free admission and free parking. Be sure to check it out! The Opening Ceremony begins at 11:30 am with the Johnston High School Marching Band. The Annual Apple Pie Competition begins at 1:00 pm - sponsored by Citizens Bank. The event offers Arts & Crafts Vendors, Commercial Vendors, Food Vendors, Wellness Fair, Kids Zone; in addition to live entertainment all weekend long, cooking demonstration, food and fun! NEW this year, a welcomed addition to the event - "Art Arrives in Johnston". We will also sponsor the 3rd Annual Apple Festival Soccer Tourney! Hard Hat Tour....at our September Business After Hours Ever wonder what all that condensation is while driving through Johnston on Rt. 295? Well, we hope you will join us for our September "Business After Hours" at FPL Energy, located at 24 Shun Pike in Johnston. The staff at FPL Energy look forward to hosting this event and taking all attendees interested on a hard hat tour throughout their facility.
